Vivah Panchami celebrates the wedding of Rama and Sita in Janakpur, after Rama broke Shiva's bow at Sita's swayamvar. Families worship Sita-Rama as bride and groom, tie them in a symbolic wedding knot and read the wedding story from the Ramcharitmanas, praying for harmony and devotion in married life.
